Commercial Snow Removal Case Studies

How we approach the winter problems commercial properties actually run into.

We are in the process of publishing detailed case studies from our own properties. Until those are released with the property owners' permission, the scenarios below describe how Spartan approaches the challenges we are most often brought in to solve. They are descriptions of our methods, not accounts of specific named clients.

Scenario: a site with nowhere left to put snow

Common on urban and retail properties by mid-winter. Our approach: identify storage limits during the pre-season assessment, set stacking areas that cost the fewest parking spaces, relocate piles on site with loaders as they grow, and schedule off-site hauling before capacity becomes critical rather than after.

Scenario: a 24-hour facility that cannot pause operations

Our approach: assign equipment to the property before the season, sequence clearing around shift changes and shipping windows, and service continuously through the event with multiple visits to keep truck lanes and employee parking usable through the event.

Scenario: retail losing parking capacity on peak days

Our approach: overnight and early-morning clearing so the lot is ready at opening, stacking planned away from prime rows, storefront walkways cleared and treated, and relocation or hauling used to return spaces before weekend traffic.

Scenario: a property manager with disputed service history

Our approach: GPS records of arrival and activity, salt application data from fleet sensors, continuous dash-camera site photos, daily audits before opening and post-event inspections — so each event has a dated, photographed record.

Scenario: a previous contractor that could not keep up

Our approach: assess what the site actually requires in equipment and crew hours, assign resources accordingly, and self-perform the work so nothing depends on a subcontractor showing up.
